The wide range of measurement, the high accuracy, the reduced drift and a resolution of up to 1 V make the electrostatic sensor STS 1 an all-rounder for all fields of electrostatic measurements. Device description STS 1SpacersThe two spacers guarantee an exact and constant distance to the object to be tested and enable a simple and precise measuring in that way. Display of measured valuesThe clearly arranged 3 1/2-line LCD display enables a fast and exact reading of the measured values and guarantees a long battery life. The range of measurement that has been set is indicated via light-emitting diodes. PolarityThe display of the polarity of the static charges enables you to identify the materials that are responsible for the charges quickly. Battery checkThe LowBat display prevents a falsification of measured values on account of a low battery. Areas of application STS 1The electrostatic sensor STS 1 enables you to record and check static charges in the field of a system for electronic data processing as well as in electronics and semiconductor manufacturing. Consequently disturbances and damage can be prevented in a reliable manner. The measuring of visual display units using STS 1 enables you to assess the exposure of the person working in front of the screen. Static charges of the display attract dust particles. Such an exposure can easily be avoided by using screen filters. In organic architecture as well, STS 1 is an indispensable aid for the assessment and selection of materials for living rooms, like for example fitted carpets, curtain materials and textiles. The concentration of positively and negatively charged small ions in the air of the rooms can be influenced, and this has a far-reaching impact on the quality of the entire room climate.
